Welcome to Nova Basses

I’m Ricardo, founder and luthier behind Nova Basses.

Nova was born from a love for music, woodworking, and the belief that an instrument should be much more than a tool to make sound. It should have character, identity, and a story of its own.

Every Nova bass is 100% handcrafted, built individually using carefully selected woods, high-quality components, and a meticulous approach to every detail. From shaping the first piece of wood to the final setup, each step is done by hand with one goal in mind: creating an instrument that feels alive in the hands of the musician who plays it.

But there is something else behind every Nova.

Our basses take their names from postal codes across Valencia and other parts of Spain, connecting each instrument to a real place, its character, and its story. It is our way of giving every bass an identity before it begins writing a new story with its player.

No two pieces of wood are exactly alike. No two musicians are exactly alike. And no two Nova basses should be either.
